Tradewind Investments is a forming real estate investment syndicate, built on four years of hands-on acquisitions and asset management experience. Over the last three years, our founder has been part of a team that closed on more than 400 multifamily units. Tradewind targets small commercial and light value-add properties in quality, growing markets — combining disciplined underwriting with genuine care for the communities we invest in. Our mission is simple: bring real estate enthusiasts together to passively invest in high-quality assets, backed by full transparency, reliable reporting, and a partner who's been in the deal room from day one.

TradeWind's Origin
Shawn's father grew up in the small South Pacific island nation of Kiribati. His grandfather was a deep-sea fisherman by trade, known for confidently navigating the open ocean alone — at times guided by nothing but the stars. History tells us that early sailors charted trade winds to consistently and reliably reach their destinations. Shawn founded Tradewind Investments to carry that same spirit forward: connecting passionate investors with compelling real estate projects through a process as dependable and time-tested as the trade winds that guided his grandfather on his early voyages.

Meet the Founder
Shawn holds a finance degree with an emphasis in real estate from the highly regarded Marriott School of Business at BYU, and brings 18 months of financial internship experience alongside four years in acquisitions, including three years as a Senior Analyst. Most notably, he sourced, underwrote, and led due diligence on a 200-unit refinance-structured asset in the Midwest that currently outperforms pro forma . An entrepreneurial spirit has driven his focus on developing the skills needed to confidently take a deal full-cycle. Over the past two years, he's built strong relationships with brokers, debt partners, property management teams, and sponsor mentors — a network that strengthens the team and positions every deal for success.
