Tradewind Investments is a forward-thinking real estate syndicate. Over the past three years, our founder has helped a team close on more than 400 multifamily units before starting Tradewind. We target small commercial and light value-add properties in quality, growing markets — pairing disciplined underwriting with genuine care for the communities we invest in. Our mission is simple: bring the excitement back to real estate and develop the wealth of like-minded investors through high quality assets. Assets operated with thoughtful efficiency. Tradewind's mission is to build community — and we do it by investing in one property, one resident, one neighborhood at a time. We create value alongside our residents, and that shared value builds something harder to underwrite: trust. Community focused ownership creates notable reputation locally which fortifies and protects the business plan. With each acquisition, we pledge a portion of fees to support local art, community events, or other opportunities!

Too many operators chase half-vetted deals, over-promise, and under-deliver. We hold to a quieter standard — sometimes the right project is no project. It is a privilege to be considered a steward of investor capital and as such, the best practice is to never confuse motion with progress.

TradeWind's Origin
Shawn's father grew up in the small South Pacific island nation of Kiribati. His grandfather was a deep-sea fisherman by trade, known for confidently navigating the open ocean alone — at times guided by nothing but the stars. History tells us that early sailors charted trade winds to consistently and reliably reach their destinations. Shawn founded Tradewind Investments to carry that same spirit forward: connecting passionate investors with compelling real estate projects through a process as dependable and time-tested as the trade winds that guided his grandfather on his early voyages.

Meet the Founder
Shawn holds a finance degree with an emphasis in real estate from the highly regarded Marriott School of Business at BYU, and brings more than half a decade of internship and acquisition experience. Most notably, he sourced, underwrote, and led due diligence on a 200-unit refinance-structured asset in the Midwest. Governed by an entrepreneurial spirit, Shawn created Tradewind to bring forth his mission to serve and enrich the real estate community . Over the past two years, he's built strong relationships with professionals throughout the industry — a network that strengthens the team and positions every deal for success.
